Prevention
The susceptibility to caries depends on genetic predisposition, certain systemic diseases and improper nutrition. Insufficient oral hygiene, consumption of carbohydrates, avoidance of solid foods that clean the teeth.
Prevention plays an important role in achieving a healthy smile. An important element of prevention is regular and proper oral hygiene. Periodic (every 6 months) dental check-ups are also necessary.
X-ray
X-ray diagnostics is one of the key components in modern dentistry. X-rays are very helpful in planning and during treatment.
Our clinic is equipped with digital X-ray machines, which allow for precise radiological diagnostics. The latest technologies ensure minimal radiation exposure and optimal image quality.
In our clinic we perform:
panoramic images
cephalometric images
Target images (only for patients being treated in our office)
We record images on CDs.
Treatment and Endodontics
The scope of therapeutic dentistry includes the treatment of caries, reconstruction of tooth tissues (filling) and endodontic (root canal) treatment. We use materials that have properties similar to natural tissues of the tooth, along with modern equipment. As a result, the restorations we perform meet all functional and aesthetic principles.
During treatment, we make every effort to preserve the vitality of the tooth. A living tooth is more valuable than one that has undergone endodontic treatment.
Root canal treatment is often the only way to save a tooth in the mouth. It involves removing the affected pulp, expanding and disinfecting of the root canals, and sealing them tightly.
In our clinic, we perform root canal treatment under a microscope.
The magnification provided by the microscope ensures greater accuracy during treatment, which increases the chance of saving teeth that are otherwise destined for extraction. Indications for microscope-assisted treatment include:unusual tooth anatomy, narrow canals, curved roots, and the presence of a broken instrument.
For microscope-assisted treatment, we use a rubber dam – a special sheet of rubber placed on the tooth and sealed with a clamp – to protect the treated area from saliva. For canal preparation, we use ENDOPILOT, and for measuring the root length, we use a computer-controlled system -the apex locator
Pediatric dentistry
Milk teeth, due to their low level of mineralization, are particularly susceptible to caries. Untreated caries leads to inflammation and premature tooth loss, which often contributes to misalignment of teeth in the dental arch. Children should be under constant dental supervision. The best results are achieved with adaptation visits and parent education.
At our clinic, your children can choose the color of the filling and receive a reward for their bravery during treatment.
Surgery
Dental surgery involves procedures in the oral cavity. Modern surgery is not only about extracting damaged teeth or roots. Most procedures are performed to support specialized treatments (endodontic, prosthetic, implantological, orthodontic). All surgical procedures are performed under local anesthesia. We strive to preserve the patient’s own tissues as much as possible during surgery (minimally invasive procedures).
Implantology
A dental implant is the most advanced prosthetic supplement used to fill the gap in the dental arch in the absence of teeth. It is made of titanium -a metal that is neutral to the body and does not affect health. Implantology is an alternative to traditional prosthetics because, by using implants as new roots, we do not need to reduce the tissues of neighboring teeth.
Prosthodontics
The goal of prosthetics is to restore the space in the dental arch after the loss of a tooth. Prosthodontics is closely related to maintaining the proper function of the chewing system and the aesthetics of the smile.
In our clinic, we make all types of prosthetic restorations available on the market:
Fixed: crowns, bridges, implants
Removable: skeletal, acrylic, nylon, acron, acetyl dentures
Combined: dentures with clasps or attachments
This allows you to choose a solution that takes into account the individual needs and capabilities of the patient.
Orthodontics
Orthodontics deals with the prevention and treatment of malocclusions. The goal of orthodontic treatment is to restore proper chewing function and improve the aesthetics of the smile.
The head is part of the spine, so proper orthodontic treatment often requires cooperation with an orthopedist, osteopath, and physiotherapist.
In the case of severe malocclusions, treatment is carried out in cooperation with an orthodontist and a specialist in temporomandibular joints or a maxillofacial surgeon.
In our office, we treat patients using removable (plates) and fixed (braces) appliances. The duration of appliance wear depends on the complexity of the malocclusion and the patient’s cooperation.
